Waste Management

Waste Management
Willow has an established recycling program for all waste streams generated on site that are recyclable. This program has been in place since 2005 and includes recycling of;

  • Scrap Metal & Aluminum cans,
  • Glass,
  • Paper,
  • Cardboard,
  • Plastics
  • Used printer cartridges,
  • Scrap pallets and
  • ABS/Styrene

Australian Packaging Covenant

Willow is a signatory to the Australian Packaging Covenant and has integrated its APC Action Plan into our Environmental Management System.

Water HarvestingWater Harvesting
In 2010 Willow installed and commissioned a 250,000L water tank. Water harvested is now being used in our manufacturing procedures and for use in our surrounding gardens.

 

Regeneration Parks & GardensRegeneration Parks & Gardens
The last 6 months has seen the Willow site undergo a regeneration of its gardens through replanting and the water harvesting program. Part of the aim of this program is to achieve a reduction in the ambient temperature of the site buildings of 2°C.
